Cynomorium Songaricum, which is a reddish-brown juicy wild plant,tastes sweet when raw and grows in dry, sandy areas . This androgynous plant is parasitic on the roots of salt-tolerant plants, for example , Nitraria sibirica in Guazhou area. It flourishes in winter and withers in summer.
